Ghana to start cultivating sunflower in large quantities in 2024
The Tropical Agricultural Marketing and Consultancy Services (TRAGRIMACS) on Wednesday launched a Ghana Sunflower Project for the cultivation of sunflower in large quantities in the country from 2024.
“Ghana exports fish flakes in sunflower oil to the tune of 147 million dollars annually, if the oil is produced in the country, there will be an increase in production of fish flakes which means more income generation,” he said. Mr. Sulemana called for the establishment of a sunflower processing plant to create jobs to resuscitate the economy.
