Life Cycle Assessment of Maize-Germ Oil Production and the Use
The results per ton of oil revealed that maize-germ oil (considering only a gate-to-gate approach) can be inserted among the low-medium impact oils for greenhouse gas emissions, such as soybean, rapeseed and sunflower oils , both when considering the RES scenario (59.2 kg CO 2 eq.) and BAU scenario (135 kg of CO 2 eq.).
Domestic gas consumption is approximately 39 bcm, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) used by half of consumers.
