The solvent extraction process augments traditional palm kernel oil production. The second press from the Kernel Crushing Plant (KPC) extracts nearly all remaining CPKO in the Palm Kernal Extract (PKE), Palm Kernel Cakes containing ~8% of palm oil is a potential source for further extraction (up to 90%) with Solvent extraction technology, and the pelletized de-oiled PKM becomes Animal Feed.
